Hello, my name is Melissa Botha.

I am married to my husband, Theuns, and together with our three children - Lentelie (7 years old) and our twin boys, Josua and Kaleb (5 years old) - we are all part of the The Bible Box journey.

​

I grew up in Bloemfontein and studied Physiotherapy at the University of the Free State. It was during my studies that I met my husband, and we were married in 2013. Today, we live in Bethlehem in the Free State.

​

I grew up in a loving Christian home with parents who showed me what a real, living relationship with the Lord looks like. I came to know the Lord at a young age, something I will always be deeply thankful for. We were part of the Bloemfontein Baptist Church community, where I met a wonderful group of friends and served in the youth ministry. It was during this time that the Lord placed a call to ministry on my heart, and I truly believe that The Bible Box is part of that calling.

I believe with all my heart that the Lord has a deep love for families and for discipleship. I also believe that time spent with children is never wasted.

I also know that not every child grows up in a home where the Lord is known and loved. But God places people in those children’s lives to be a spiritual parent to them. The Bible Box is for you too.

It is my prayer that The Bible Box will be a blessing to you and your family. May you enjoy this special time together, and may the Lord plant seeds in your children’s hearts that will grow into strong trees - trees where others can one day find rest.
